Have you ever wondered if music can be incorporated in your life? Not just in the generic way where you sing in the car or in the shower, that's what happens in life. But in the real way of being on stage. There are some things that you need to weigh into the decision first. The one highest on the list is, “Can you carry a tune?" Or does the voice that comes from your mouth border on flat or pitchy? Even if that is the case, there are other ways to incorporate music into your life. Dancers, or composers, they still need music. Even sound engineering techs make music very important in their lives. These are various other ways of making music.

Playing an Instrument

Another way of incorporating music in your life is to play musical instruments. The want to do it must be there, along with the devotion to practice and learn different instruments. However, being on stage with your talent isn't the only way to live the music dream. Playing an instrument can be used to teach music. Music is falling away from being in high schools, and music teachers are not in great commodity. Having a master of music education is a great way to help you achieve a career that will be meaningful. Teaching music to a school district is a great option that will help you teach others the talent of music.

Exploring Musical Occupations

There are many occupations which involve music. See if you can come up with all the ones I mention here. Music might be combined with other interests also. There are Broadcast and sound engineer technicians who set up, maintain, and operate equipment that is needed at concerts, television and radio programs. These are the people who control the sound of the video or music, and they use microphones and sound speakers to do this. They are able to control the volume and the quality of the music. Other people, who are called Broadcast technicians, use different equipment. These are transmitters and computer software. They transmit radio and television programs.

Incorporation of music in dance is important to be able to give dance a life of its own, or tell a story. Dancers work with choreographers, who help the dance come to life. Choreographers also study new dance techniques and set them to musical accompaniment. Maybe the path for you is becoming a Music Director or conductor. They are involved in music by leading orchestral performances or choirs. You may even have the ability to be a composer. They are the people who write the music and lyrics. They may write jingles for an advertisement on the television.Musicians play instruments in front of live audiences. They're the ones who understand musical theory and technique. They may have a specialty, what type of music they like to play, whether it is Reggae, Jazz, Broadway or Rock and Roll. Singers are the same.

Seems like no matter what part of music you have deemed to be in your life, it can be the path for you. Musicians and singers are paid by the hour and quite possibly do not work all year round. Music directors are paid another way, drawing a salary and maybe fees for other guest engagements.

A music career, like any other, has its rewards and challenges. Rewards may be meeting other celebrities and playing different venues. Challenges may be traveling and being away from family and friends. This is what you have to weigh in, when you make your decision. Finding a career in music can be just what you need when you are trying to figure out the right path for you. If you're musically talented there are so many different jobs that can fulfill your career needs.
