How Quitting the Wrong Things and Getting Into the Right Ones Can Change Your Life
Anyone who is afraid of failure in this life will not find success. Success itself is a mix of several falls and wake ups, it is getting to a new summit each time we hit a roadblock. So many times we are misled by the media and society that success is the attainment of a certain level or position in life; there’s no level to attain, no final destination to reach.
Fan Fic Writing Peeves
So I've ranted about fan fiction reviews and reading fan fiction, but this time, I would like to share my ten pet peeves about writing fan fiction. Maybe, you might find something here that you can relate to. Again, this is my own personal opinion. I hope you all enjoyed this as much as you enjoyed my last two rants about writing fan fiction.

As a career I write blogs and books (currently I’m working on a book called My Life is a Puzzle), as well as doing public talks at schools and in the community.

I have always wanted to write. Even before I knew how, I was already scribbling on the blank spaces of all the books lying around the house—including the Bible. The love for writing was never just about the thoughts-to-words dynamic, it was the physical side of it as well: the paper textures, the pens, the ink on the pages, the keys and the typing sounds.

Facebook can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It all depends on how you approach it. We all have crazy, busy lives and social media can be the biggest time sucker of them all. I know there have been times when I’ve sat down to check out a recipe or a friend’s contact information, looked up at the clock and realized that 2 hours had passed... and I can’t remember why I was even on my tablet or phone. So how do you effectively get new prospects or customers without spending hours in front of your screen and away from your life?

Etsy. Teespring. Café Press. Lularoe. Pampered Chef. Tictail. YouTube. WordPress. Vocal. These are just a handful of the ways to make real money, working from home, from the comfort of the internet. There are easily a couple hundred, maybe even a thousand more. And more and more people are using these, either to create a full time living or to subsidize a traditional paycheck.

Okay, so it's not Monday, but it feels like it. For the past few years, my life has taken a turn I never wanted (no one ever wants life to take a turn for the worse). Due to a terminal illness of my father-in-law, family drama, a surgery for my husband, and the day-to-day job of a mom, I lost time. Cutting time away from my fiction writing was not an option, as without it I had no real outlet. Refusing to take time away from my family I had to make some big choices. Unfortunately, my freelance writing career was the sacrificial lamb in all of this.

I've been writing and reading fan fiction for years. I love it, it gives me a strong nostalgic feeling. I love exploring different territories and a plethora of paths with my favourite characters. Even though they're fictional characters, they feel like your best friends that you grew up with.

As a writer, there is nothing more satisfying than knowing that a reader is fully invested in my work. The money is nice, but I found feedback from readers a lot more rewarding. To this day, I still consider myself fortunate to have even earned a penny from my writings. I've decided to share 20 websites that I think are good to share and create written work for. I will also be mentioning both paid and unpaid work for this. Vocal.Media will also not feature on this list, but I think I can class it as an honourable mention.

So, you’ve finally finished writing your book, awesome! But now what? If you’re anything like me, the fear and uncertainty of what to do next will cause you to develop chronic procrastination and self-doubt. I spent countless hours searching the internet with dry, tired eyes, lost in the world of literature and publication as a new author. There were so many things to consider! Finding an agent, searching for editors, and contacting publishers—it was very overwhelming. And oh my goodness! The cost of these options was nothing if not disheartening. Even so, a part of me didn’t want anyone else touching my work. I’ve heard horror stories of authors who have submitted their work to editors only to have their story torn apart and changed completely. How could I avoid losing the authenticity of my story while still finding a way to publish my book to a large audience? These thoughts ate away at me until I almost gave up the hope of doing anything with my work.

Signs the Job Offer Isn't Real
There's something to be said about being a freelancer. Like the name suggests, it offers a degree of freedom that most other kinds of work setups can't have. After all, most 9 to 5 careers will not allow you to do work in your pajamas, right?
