Rebellious Thoughts of a Recent Grad
I grew up with ideals of success repetitively instilled in me harder than a jackhammer on a construction site. My dad always said education is the key to success, which to this day I still don’t doubt. I was fortunate enough to receive an education from the top public university in the world, so by the social norm and, of course, the public’s interpretation, that should mean I attain the golden ticket to a life of immense triumph and corporate hierarchy.
Sparks of SpontaneityPublished 5 years ago in JournalPost-Grad Depression and Social Media: Let's Talk About It
Graduate life is a bit of a free-fall. Most of our lives are thoroughly structured through education up until the point we get put in those robes and the camera flash goes off. The Career Search
Career searching. We’ve all been there. However, it isn't easy. It’s hard to nail down what you want to do with your life—unless you’re one of those "I’ve wanted this my whole life" type of humans. If you need schooling for whatever you pick, and graduate for it, then decide you picked the wrong one, being over thousands of dollars in debt—this is for you. The best advice I can give is finding tests and soul-searching.
