My Adventures As A Pizza Delivery Driver
Once I arrived at my customer’s location, or what I thought was my customer’s location, I got the order out of my car and proceeded to the front door. I rang the door-bell. After a few seconds, nobody came to the door. I then knocked on the door. Still nobody was at the front door. I put the food down on the front porch and walked to my car to get my cell phone so I could notify the customer that I was at their location and was on their front porch.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
The overturn ratio in the pizza business, as far as the delivery drivers are concerned, is an excessive amount of people who come and go at work. How well do you think you know your co-workers? All of the delivery drivers at work, when we are scheduled to work, we usually see one another on a daily basis. Some of the delivery drivers have been delivering pizzas for several years, and some of the delivery drivers are only there for a short period of time.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
In the short time that I have been delivering pizzas, I have been fortunate by not seeing many accidents on the roadways. But one day, I was driving along a popular road here in Town, while delivering pizzas and almost witnessed a horrible accident.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
The thunder rolls and the lightning strikes! Not long ago, I arrived at work on a gloomy, stormy morning. It was one hundred percent chance rain for the day. When I walked to the back of the store to get my car topper for the day, the developmentally challenged employee was already there folding boxes. I went outside real fast in the rain and placed the car topper on top of my car, and ran back inside to clock in for the day. The Manager on Duty clocked me in and handed me a bank for the day. The bank is for the delivery drivers to make change with at a customer's location if need be when they are paying with cash money.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
One day at work, I had a pizza delivery come up and it was not to one of my favorite places to go. The delivery was to the local mall in town. Most of the time, the customers that do order pizza will come outside to met the delivery drivers, unless they say that they are manning the store where they work by themselves. If that is the case, then you have no choice but to park your vehicle and go inside to make the delivery.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
I had been delivering pizzas for a good six months before I had my first irate customer. Most of the delivery drivers at work use their cell phone as a GPS. I personally like to use my GPS. I enter the address of where I am going into the GPS and the driving device talks to me, to my location, telling me exactly where to turn, and it lets me know when I am arriving at my customer's location.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
Knock on wood, in the time that I have been delivering pizzas, I have not gotten a speeding ticket nor have I had a car wreck. Personally, I do not ever want to have either of them. One can never be careful enough while out and about driving. Since I have been delivering pizzas, I went from hardly driving anywhere to driving almost non-stop on the days that I work.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
Before becoming a pizza delivery driver, I really had no idea what went on, business wise at the store. I really did not know where that I would be going, how many pizzas, two liter sodas, twenty ounce sodas, or water, that I could also be taking to any of my many customers. Our Store also offers extras like plates, napkins, drinking cups, multiple pizza dipping sauce cups, banana peppers and jalapeno peppers.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
It was the time of the year once more for the Super Bowl. I was the newest driver at work. On certain occasions throughout the year, everybody is required to be at work, like on Super Bowl Sunday. When I arrived at work that day, all of the other driver’s were busy beavers. Folding boxes, washing the dishes and putting them back in their proper places, answering the phones, filling up large containers of pizza sauce, and attending to the ovens in the front of the Store.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
Last October at work, one of the Managers at the Store, decided to have a contest just for the delivery drivers. Up for grabs was a twenty-five dollar pre-paid Visa gift card. If nobody won the contest by the end of the month, the gift card went up to fifty dollars, and so forth. The way the contest went was, whichever delivery driver had the most friendliest customers' comments left on the feedback at the Store, won the gift card. If two delivery drivers were tied at the end of the month, then the gift card rolled over to the next month. So, let the Contest begin!

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
We have a developmentally challenged employee at work. He visits several stores during the week and he folds boxes for each store. This guy has been an employee at work longer than anybody. He has the mind of a child and plays with his “toys,” like, for example, spins tops, while he is trying to work, folding boxes, that is. His brother drives him around to all of the stores that he works at.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
During the time that I have been delivering pizzas, I have acquired many regular customers. When I first started delivering pizzas, I worked the evening shift and now, since the first of this year, I was put on the day shift. Several of the customers would ask for me to deliver their food to them, when they called the store and placed their order. Although now that I am on the day shift at work, I now have the same thing going on as I did working the evening shift and more regular customers, which is wonderful.
