The most frustrating thing is opening an article to find helpful information, and instead reading about some online surveys you can do, or an app you should try for a few cents. I mean, sure you can make a few bucks here and there, but not real, pay-the-bills type of money. You know? The kind that will fund your travels, pay for daycare, or just give you a work from home option.
After months of reading the same type of articles, I decided to do some research into legitimate mobile careers. And to save you the time and frustration, I have compiled a list of honest work from home (or anywhere) jobs. They may not get you rich fast, and some may require schooling, but they are real ways to make an income from your computer. Let's get into it.
10 Legitimate Ways to Make Money Online:
1. Virtual Assistant
Many companies and brands are now hiring virtual assistants. This is good for you if you are a very organized person, can multitask, and like to plan things out. Tasks typically include scheduling, replying to emails, entering data, keeping up with social media, and any other tasks the boss doesn't have time for.
Typically pays $15/hour or more.
Transcription typically involves you listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. Companies usually hire transcriptionists without a lot of prior experience, lots of job postings only require you to have a computer and keyboard to get started. Transcription tasks can vary from transcribing a college lecture to a doctor's medical dictation. Also, most companies allow you to make your own schedule.
Typically pays $25/hour or more.
3. Teach English
So many people are beginning to realize that teaching english online is a legitimate way to make money. With companies like VIPkid and GoFluent it's very possible you could land a teaching job from your couch (or AirBnb in Paris). Some require a degree, most don't. Do your research and choose a company that allows you to make your own schedule to maximize travel benefits ;)
Typically pays $15-20/hour.
4. Telephone Nurse
Obviously, for this one you are required to have a degree. But if that's something you already have, or are interested in, then this could be a great gig for you! Insurance companies, and health organizations often have a nurse ready to answer any questions any clients may have. Some companies that hire nurses for this reason include Humana, Aetna and UnitedHealth Group. Look into it if you're interested in spending a few hours on the phone, and the rest on the beach!
Typically pays $50,000/annually.
5. Independent Accountant
There is big money in accounting. If you have an accounting degree/diploma and enjoy working with numbers, then this is for you. Almost all companies prefer to outsource their accounting, this is where you come in. Companies will hire someone to handle to their books, as long it's done on time, they don't care where you are working from. Bring your laptop to the Maldives if you want, you can still make great money!
Typically pays $60,000/annually.
6. Customer Service Rep
Good with people? Can you work simultaneously on the phone and computer? Tons of companies are outsourcing their customer service reps. Duties include answering client calls, questions, and concerns. You may need to edit their client information, help them solve a problem, or deal with their rants about the products. Either way it's a valid way to make money while on the go, you can pick up the phone anywhere in the world.

7. Graphic Designer
If you are a highly creative person, and don't want a 9-5, then this is for you. Graphic design is a huge market right now, and pays as such. If you have a knack for design and detail consider going into graphic design.

Social media is the number one way to make sales today. So obviously companies want their social medias up to date, and effective.
